Collaboration: Access Management

Written by amaise Support

Access management gives you full control over who can access a case — especially when collaborating with external people.

Open access management

You can find access management in the tool bar on the right edge of the screen — it is available in every view. Click it to open the access panel.

View current access permissions

Access management shows you an overview of everyone who currently has access to the case:

  • Internal users — colleagues from your workspace

  • External users — people granted access through collaboration

  • Validity period — until when the access is valid

Add external users

You can add external users directly via the access panel. Use the autocomplete field “Add external users” to search for and select the person you want.

Manage access

You can adjust access at any time:

  • Limit access by time — set an expiration date for access

  • Restrict document access — choose between “All documents” and “Selected documents” to specify what the person can access

  • Assign documents by drag-and-drop — drag documents from the list directly into the access panel to share them with a person

  • Revoke access — remove a person’s access to the case. amaise asks you to confirm first, and you can grant access again at any time later.

Delegated access

If access to a case has been delegated to you, the panel shows the note “Access delegated by: [Name]”. In this case, the access settings are read-only — you can view them but not change them.
