When interacting with the artificial intelligence of DocPilot or CasePilot, you might occasionally make an interesting observation: If you ask exactly the same question multiple times, you'll receive answers that are similar in content, but never identical.

Why is that?

Unlike classical computer programs, modern AI systems don't work on the simple "input A leads to output B" principle. Instead, they generate their answers based on probabilities and learned patterns. This leads to a natural variation in the answers -- similar to how a human expert would never answer the same question word for word identically.

Variation within correctness

These differences in the answers by no means indicate that the AI is unreliable. Rather, the answers operate within a framework of factual correctness but offer different perspectives or formulations. This can even be advantageous, as different explanatory approaches can help various people understand the content better.
